Vishal Ke KAMINEY . Review on Kaminey

Makdi, Omkara and now Kaminey...This man(Vishal Bhardwaj) is simply brilliant in storytelling. The pattern of all these movies is so similar yet all of them are so different in terms of storyline and characters. Kaminey is an exemplary presentation of characters and plots.

One thing that has been characteristic to Vishaal from his very first movie is his dialogue writing style. It gives immense satisfaction that he comes up with something new everytime but not at the cost of his strengths. The film has characters who speak 3 different languages but in no point the user can feel that any of them is speaking something that is completely perpendicular to the plot.

The film is a story of two twins (Guddu and Charlie) who have faced extreme poverty at the outset of their childhood. While one of the brothers(Charlie) interprets the difficult times in his own sweet way to justify his inclination towards gambling , the other chooses the brighter side of life. Charlie wants to be a bookie as quickly as possible in the horse racing world where millions are earned and lost everyday while Guddu has prepared his career chart till 2016!!! .

This extraordinary contradiction has made both the characters so wonderful to watch. Hats off to Shahid Kapoor who has pulled off 2 characters like these. He is a serious contender in bollywood now and has a very long way to go. After this performance I think he will definitely be in the 'A' league of actors. Vishal gave him a challenge in this movie and how well he has responded!!!!!.

The character Sweety played by Priyanka Chopra is awesome. The girlfriend of a guy from chawl who lives in a chawl as well, has been picturised brilliantly by Vishal. The romantic scenes in which she claims that she is a "HOME SCIENCE" topper are very funnily sensual. The way she rescues her love from her brother's goons is awesome. Priyanka Chopra is seriously going great guns now by choosing films and characters like this.

The Bangali Babu and his gang, The politician Bhau, the naughty little kid (he was seriously good), the drug ganglord and the police officers who were working for him were so real. They were all 'Kaminey' characters in their own right. Even the naughty child showed that living with a bunch of bad people can make you bad as well. He also started to behave like one of them who were a part and parcel of his life.

In my opinion this movie is the best told story about 'Lookalike TWINS', as far as Hindi movies are concerned. So those who have got tired of that "KUMBH KE MELE MEIN BICHDE HUE DO JUDWE BHAIYON KI DASTAAN" you have got to watch "KAMINEY". More than anything else this movie provides an insight into this fast paced world where everybody wants to take a shortcut or a "CHOTA SHORTCUT" and it also potrays how dreams clash and how a simpleton has to become a "KAMINA" in order to survive....

Go ahead and watch this movie guys...Vishaal has given us a treat to watch....By the way "VISHAAL KAMINEY U ROCK BIG TIME"................
