The movie kambakht ishq is an extremely cheap, offensive and a boring film. When I had watched its website some months back I had read its story and I knew that this is going to be another nonsense, amateurish and a boring movie so I didn't go to a theatre to watch this movie. I watched it on pirated dvd and I was relieved that I didn't spend much money over this trash.
I was also happy that my assumption about this film was true. Last week I saw newyork and after watching such a realistic, intense and a moving film I saw this dumb trash. I will not say that I was disappointed bcoz I didn't expect a lot from this film anyways. There was no story or plot to talk about. The story was about a male chauvinist casanova played by akshay kumar and an extremely feminist model kareena kapoor. Well akshay thinks that women are meant only to have sex and marrying a woman means that your independence and your happiness is destroyed.
On the other hand kareens thinks that men only want sex and no men can ever truly love a woman. The film is a battle bet'n these two people who alwys fights and argues whenever they met and how they eventually fall in love with each other forms the crux of the plot. The plot is completely juvenile and the screenplay is extremely loud, vulgar.offensive and boring. Women are treated in such a derogatory and insensitive manner in the movie like in enes where akshay kumar throws the two women he is flirting with out of the car and when akshay and his friend are going in a golf car and his girlfriend calls him and comes in front of his car and gets crushed under his car and akshay and his friend don't realise that and then that girl runs behind his car all soaked in blood and still akshay don't listen to her and when akshay slaps amrita arora three times for not understanding what he was explaining to her.
I mean what kind of humour is this. The whole film is full of this kind of offensive and derogatory stuff. The direction by sabbir khan is third class and the music of the film is disappointing. Talented actors like kirron kher, javed jafferi and boman irani are completely wasted in weak nonsense roles. Akshay kumar suddenly falling in love with kareena looks very unconvincing. This is kareena's worst film of her career. She looks very good but performs very bad. The dialogues are completely disgusting and cheap. Kareena often insults and spek nonsense stuff about stuntmen which is extremely wrong and unacceptable. Hollywood stars like sylvester stallone and denise richards are completely wasted in the movie and hollywood and losangeles is not shot properly so camera work is also very bad. I don't know why such talented actors do such a third class film. It's very sad to know that producers of this film have spend crores and crores of rupees over this trash. If u want to spend so much money then atleast spend on making a good film otherwise use such money in development of our country and don't waste it over thiskind of trash. DON'T WATCH KAMBAKHT ISHQ. IT IS BOLLYWOOD AT ITS WORST.
