You drive out of Bangalore on Highways and you can find these Kamat Upachar all along the way. I have visited many of them on Bang-Mys, Bang-Tumkur highways and below are my reviews:
1) Highly expenseive and not at all worthed
As an example, they charge Rs 18 for a cup of tea. They are simply robbing of money from hungry, tired travelers. And all govt\private buses stop at this place for dinner\lunch\breakfast. Please tell me, how can middleclass person afford an 18 Rs just for a cup of tea.
You opt an average breakfast(for 2 ppl) including an idli-vada and a tea and you will end up paying in hundreds.
2) Ill treatment
The waiters, bearers, managers of these hotels treat us in a very bad way. They show lot of arrogance and on my every visit, I have seen customers fighting with staff for one or other reason. I have also been victim of the same.
3) Delayed service
Whatever you order, be prepared for a delayed service. In our last visit, they waiter took more than 5 mins, just to deliver packaged drinking water. The water available in bottle, in the fridge. For any eatables, just imagine the time they will take. And if you dare to question the waiter for the delay, e prepared for his arrogant look.If, you get into to this restaurant and will loose your valuable time in waiting for food and getting frustrated.
I suggest all you people viewing my review, don’t visit this place at all. Instead you will get many other good hotels\restaurants on the highways. Visit them and save ur money&time.
Infact, Govt should take actions on such restaurants who are charging us so high and giving a low grade service.
I term Kamat Upachar as "Third Class" in every aspect of restaurant ratings.
