There are many popular tourist places.One of them is Kamala Basti. Kamala basti is a jain temple located in the walls of Belgaum fort.
This is one of the historical place which reminds the history and events of Kittur Rani Chennamma.The rare idols of Navagrah installed in the temple built in granite stones.The granite pillars give ringing sounds and look like polished stones which is awesome.
The front verandah of the temple is given a shape of lotus flower and over that many jain idols have been carved.This Kamala Basti got it's name from it's great lotus sculpture.
This Kamala Basti in one of the oldest heritage and people must visit this place to know our ancient history.It is good for archeological students.
