YEH KALYUG HAI….KALYUG. Here one man’s pain is another man’s entertainment.

KALYUG is a contemporary film of today. Porn sites , raw videos and MMS’s are very common in a common mans life. KALYUG deals with the real life instances of ordinary people.

The story (by Mohit Suri) goes this way…. Kashmiri Pandit Kunal (Kunal Khemu) lost his family in a terrorist attack 18 yrs back. His life was never so gud until he met Renuka(Smiley Suri).

Both of them fall in love and gets married .But their happiness was short-lived.

Both goes for their Honeymoon where their first night together -- is captured on camera and put up on a porn website. Kunal and Renuka are arrested. Kunal is blamed by the police for making blue films. Unable to handle the humiliation, a distraught Renuka commits suicide in front of Kunal’s eyes as she was ashamed of herself for not having believing her hubby.

Kunal decides to prove his innocence and uncover the truth behind the blue film racket, which leads him straight to the dark underbelly of Zurich. With only a picture of a famous Indian porn star Annie [Deepal Shaw], Kunal gets ready for the real fight.

He gets in tuch with Ali (Emraan) who promised to help Kunal to get Annie. The porn site owner was Simi Roy(Amrita Singh) who has a good naqaab in front of the world of being this goody goody businesswoman…. The owner of Swiss telecom. But she was actually behind the sex racket and produced the Blue films.

Emraan hashmi, Ashutosh Rana, Smiley. All have small roles but their presence are felt.

Amrita Singh makes a terrific comeback to the big screen.She is tremendous every time she appears on screen.She is successful in proving that she is a woman of substance..

Kunal gives a knockout performance. 10 on 10 to him. Wat a performance !

After Zeher, Mohit has proved once again that he is a good director. Having successfully extractying best performances from all the cast, Mohit deserves an applause.The songs stand out as usual. I don’t need to say this coz this is a BHATT film. 'Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaye' , by Rahat Fateh Ali khan is an excellent composition .'Dheere Dheere' is also kinda sufi. Both Aadat and The remix version of 'Aadat' on the end titles is kool.Cinematography [Rituraj Narain] is appealing. Dialogues by Jay Dixit are wonderful.

Though this movie is a copy of Hollywood flick BOOGIE NIGHTS [1997; Mark Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds, Julianne Moore], an expose on the porn industry, still KALYUG stands out.

Overall a good movie, worth watching.
