Typical bollywood dose with reasonably good plot. Review on Kalyug

This movie, strangely enough boasts of a different and original story. But alas director falters as it tries to make it a bollywood product close to reality. Coming from Mahesh bhatt banner this topic must have been inspired by numerous newspaper/ movie (I read somewhere that mahesh bhatt was himself researching on this topic).

In a simple and terse way movie is based on the billion dollar Porn Industry which is growing (may be better than china's 10% GDP growth) every day by exploiting innocent people like the character shown in this movie (as director has put in the story).

Main protagonist Kunal and his wife in the movie unknowingly becomes victim of Blue Film (Voyeur Porn). Due to some sort of nix-up between police and Porn Industry people, Kunal and Renuka gets arrested. Renuka could not really cope-up with the situation and does suicide. And from hereon Kunal vows to nail this porn idustry. All the rest is his single handed (typical bollywood style) crusade against these Bad Guys(Porn Industry People).

So as usual in typical Hindi movie main story is pretty short, and all it rest upon Directors Calibre. Now I would like to take on this side of the movie.

Dear Mohit Suri and Mahesh Bhatt you can never become a MANIRATNAM. It is only Maniratnam who has realistically woven a story about current crisis and situation. All you are trying to say is Blue Film, then where does this KASHMIRI PANDIT and GUJRAT issue come from. Mahes Bhatt/ Suri's inspiration of Kasmiri Pandit could be twofold. First, may be one day while reading through the morning newspaper some of these great(in satirical way, I know I am not a good writer ) would have been touched by the MISS JAMMU (Anara Gupta) case. Or secondly being the only Kasmiri Pandit in the Bollywood Kunal Khemu must have requested to Mahesh Uncle to specifically put in their (Kasmiri Pandit) suffering. Another character in the movie becomes a prey of Porn industry due to a Gujrat crisis. Where this crisis come from no idea.....but hey bhatt can be inspired from any thing. On the other side director starts movie with a very realistic way. But when Kunal starts figthing with Goons just because he can not loose his dead fathers ''Antim Nishani'' ...THE WATCH (does that remind you of Bruce Willis in PULP FICTION), story starts loosing its realism. And, when Kunal goes switzerland to fight with the bad guys movie looses all its realism and becomes indigestible (in a typical bollywood way).

About Kunal Khemu---

He looks promising, did a good job considering a new come. But Alas he can't run....Evn Anil Kapoor runs better than him( I know its a bizzare thing to look for.....By the way in the bollywood there seems to be only two good runner Amitabh and Sharukh). His hair style must have been the effect of watching too many japanese cartoon (but that all depends on girl if they like it that way then be it).

RENUKA--

Where the hell did they find this girl? Did they really bring somebody from Jammu or she happens to be a relative of the director. In all probablity second is more likely to be true. She doesnt look good at all, can't even act. Not being mean but she has got a vey old looking face. Anyways utter disappointment...

He does his job satsfactorily. It is not Emran's acting but the same old supporting actor plot that I hate the most. I dont want to divulge the plot here ...but I hate this part the most (just because of its predicatabilty).

Well its been enough cursing by now....the only good thing about the movie is the song''Jiya dhadak dhadak Jaye''. A very good composition...a little bit trying to be Nusrat by Rahet (But thats OK in a good way).

Thats how I am ending my first ever movie review (umm it more looks like random thoughts here and there, nothing seems to be in order).

Oh Well, but I forgot to mention the big flaw in the plot. By watching this film it looks like all the indian porn workers(female) are in to this buisness due to some ''Majboori''. To an extent I can believe that may be 5 % of the people are because of some compulsion but for the rest of them it is just a buisness as usual (Like an IT professional)...

I MAY BE WRONG BUT I DOUBT IT...........
