I am a passout from kgec 2014 batch.After secured good rank in wbjee I selected ME dept in KGEC with a bit of hope to have a great career in future.But when I went there it seemed to be embarrassing to me .As it was said as 3rd college in Bengal(after Jadavpur & Shibpur).But what I had experienced there is not like that. First of all the college campus is not good.It is dirty all around.
The campus design is poor.Now if you visit mechanical workshop u can find out that plenty of machines are there as some showpieces.Within my entire 4 yrs experience I didn't see them to work for a single time.Besides this they don't take proper care of lab equipment. About faculty I must say that it is not good at all.They dont take proper care of the pupils.The teacher student relationship is also poor. About the placement process it is becoming very poor now-a-days.The placement cell was unable to bring a single core company for ME dept. So my personal experience states that if u are seeking good career & bright future then just don't choose ME dept. in KGEC.
