It was after a long time I felt like sharing a review on something I was using since many years and was satisfied with it. It is about a Bus travels I am using for many years and I book it online on redbus and I get a comfortable travel.
Today, like a sudden jolt the same scenario overturned for me when I for the first time I got my staff go to their Kozhikode office. It was an emergency and I had to travel tonight itself. I am a doctor for past 20 years, run a chain of clinics across Kerala and also the National Secretary of Professional Organization related to Medicine.
I sent my clinic staff to the Kozhikode Office of Suresh Kallada Bus Travels and asks for a ticket on my name for tonight post midnight so that I reach Harippad by 6PM. I had sent the staff after making sure that there is ample number of seats (from redbus.com ) I needed a pickup form a satellite town of Kozhikode at 1:15 PM as my clinical practice would run up to 11 this night. It would be inconvenient for me to catch the 11:30 bus. Also the 11:30 bus would reach me at Harippad at an odd time and this one would reach me at 6AM. The cost of 1:15 AM bus was 100 Rs less than that of the 11:30 bus.
The staff had a rude and arrogant behavior to my person and was not interested in answering any questions. Upon finally consenting to travel to Calicut and catch the same 1:15 bus in couple of minutes the same person says that all the comfortable seats are over and I have to go to the last row. It sounded more like a deliberate move from his side and he was unhappy that we did not yield to his suggestion of somehow picking the 11:30 PM bus.
Since I knew the brother of the owner of this travels I also told him the same and that I am a regular traveller since years and was always picked up from Ramanattukara in the past. I have had no issues. I also asked my staff to ask for the managers mobile number and the email which the staff there refused to provide saying..we cannot give it for such causes. Smart fellow does not want any customer to reach to their management with a complaint from him.
I finally fetched the number of the owner somehow and gave him a call and briefed the scenario. They were to look into the matter and get back. It has been almost 5-6 hours now and no calls back. One need to remember that the confusion here is about a person who need to travel tonight. This shows the lack of responsibility and oversight reg such matters from the management itrself. Probably such arrogance and attitude form the staff is something what he is paid for ! one never know.
Even if the seats had extinguished for real due to my badluck, this become a lesson for many of such Travels and their owners to sense that such arrogant staff will never help the face of any such service providers. This travels is truly leading in these states as of today and no doubt about it. Most of the buyers?customers are through internet and tjhey are never aware about the culture of their staff when one walks into their office and reg. their arrogance and attitude.
I just wanted to share my experience reg. the same. It was a great disappointment indeed from a travel agency I had huge regard in the past few years.
