Kalinga is situated near Sharda Centre little of karve Road.
I recently visited this place with my friend only to lose money time and my temper.
We ordered Pina Colada, which my friend always orders to check on the quality of food. Turns out the mocktail had little less coconut cream than desired. So we asked for some more, only to be told that they are out of it and the manager has gone hunting for it personally!!
So obviously they had dumped an ill-prepared Pina colada our table.
So that order was cancelled and we ordered Pomfret Tawa fry. This turned out ot be the stalest fish I ever ate it a restaurant of this sort (read where they charge you reasonably higher than the other places). After half an hour the manager was back from his ''coconut cream hunt''. On being asked why we were being served such lousy food, the managers had audacity to tell me that he has worked in Bombay and knows that fish is stored for a number of days.
These guys think too much of themselves as they have become reasonably successful. Note this is the treatment meted out to a regular customers.
Visit this restaurant at your own risk.
