I had a great expectations for the movie Kalavathi as it is a sequel of the hit movie Chandhrakala, which I liked. I thought of a different story before watching the movie. But after watching I came to know that it is just repeated the same movie with different cast. I was too disappointed in the aspect of story. As we come to the movie, Siddharth had a little effective role he made up to it. Sundar had a great role in the movie. He acted up to his mark.
Trisha had a great impact role in the movie. Her role is somewhat versatile comparing her other roles. She tried her level best. Hansika is seen in flashback with a ironic story. The movie revolves as usual around the old bungalow with village type comedy. The first half is comprised of complete comedy. Where as the second half is highlight of the movie with some tragedy and interesting story. But at last the climax is a failure. The movie seems low budget graphics and making. The movie can be said an average movie as it contains some masala and comedy scenes. My opinion is Kalavathi is a onetime viewing movie without any expectations.
