Till date I cannot understand the hysteria tagged to this movie!!The story was quite ordinary and also predictable....nothing new at all. I don't think it would have made any difference to the movie if the film was shown based in Jhumri-Tallaya instead of New York. I also can't understand why the director had to use a million unnecessary characters(some of whom got only one or two dialogues in the whole movie).
Though Preity Zinta acted well, I for one am convinced that the role was written with Kajol in mind. Saif has matured so much as an actor...he is quite delightful. Shahrukh khan has become so predictable and boring these days...he makes no effort to act or look different in any of his movies!! Jaya Bachchan and Sushma Seth were so loud that I literally had to cover my ears in their scenes.
Long ago when the masterpiece movie''Anand''was released, Meena kumari had commented that Rajesh Khanna's cheeks looked too pink to be those of a patient who has a terminal disease...wonder what she would have said after seeing Shahrukh Khan jump&dance throughout the first half of the film like that!!
The music is the saving grace of the movie.
Finally,how are either Karan Johar or the Nikhil guy going to convince us that the movie was not ghost-directed by Karan??!!
