The second take of the movie inspired me to write this. This is not typical to 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' it is with everything here. The Deeper and Deeper you go; the more and more you know about it, and the more you like it.

Hidden Message

Miss not the hidden message in the Movie: No matter whom you love (love because it is the hottest topic), no matter what you plan, destiny has its own Plans.

Coming to the Movie, There is Shah Rukh Khan who is in NY for a Heart Operation; Meantime, He Sees Preity Zinta (His coincidental Neighbour) and Falls in love with her. But, how will a guy with Hole in his Heart Love a girl ? So he gives in the girl to Saif Ali Khan, who happens to be her good friend.

What Shah Rukh Khan (and audience for that matter) realize(s) here is that though he is desperate; there are certain things which are helplessly beyond control.

Acting

Shah Rukh Khan is at his best. Scene is that Preity comes to know that Saif is helped by Shah Rukh to get her; so she runs away. Shah Rukh Khan on seeing this starts to read out love-a-tales (paragraphs one writes about his/her love) from an empty diary (Actually from his heart) This is a NO MISS Scene from Kal Ho Naa Ho.

Saif Ali Khan has a no-challenge role, that is, he has a role that would be equally good or bad, independent of the Actor who performs it. But, he seems to do it much better than you would expect. Saif Ali Khan is a hero who is picking up his skills in acting; and is worth being backed.

Preity Zinta is a typical Indian-Americal with desi feelings. She Potrays a kind of girl every modern-indian-boy would want to have. Her acting skills are impeccable. Ditto for the other two Actors (Shah and Saif)

Comedy

If you are a person watching movie for Comedy, this movie won't let you down. At the same time, don't expect too much though. There are some places where I am offended by the (comic) statements.

Sentiments

Sentiments surely Rate as bad in my hands. So do I think in the hands of modern-citi-guys. No one wants a flood of sentimental dialogs as K3G. This movie has the right amount of sentimetal dialogs all by Master-Taker of sentimets Shah Rukh Khan.

I hope you will find this edition more elaborate than the Old (Original) Review that follows:

Old Review

This may be one of the few bollywood movies that keeps you glued to your seats. Preity Zinta, and Shah Rukh Khan: Good as Ever. Saif Ali Khan puts up a Very Good Show in spite of his no-challenge Role.

The Dialogs are good, also one may note the revalation of Shah Rukh Khan's Problem keeps us waiting.

The Background is NY, USA which is by itself worth watching.

And Bonanza: You also have Special Appearences of Kajol and Rani Muharjee apart from other SA stars.

Plot is OK. But sentimental scenes do rate low in the hands of a no-heart like me. Shah Rukh Khan's impeccable acting esp. his Near-Death Hospital Scene and the One Reading out of Blank Diary are v.good. You will have to watch it for yourself.

There is also a hint of humour in the movie, which was specially appealing. It may offend some.

Preity Zinta's Club-Dance seems quite off-place to me, but look who's watching.

Over and all,

Definitely worth a watch.
