Right from Allah ke Bande to Mangal Mangal to Dhol Wajda, if one thing is commo in all these sdongs is the on your face Honesty of Singer. Kailas Kher is no Pandit Jasrasj or Bhimsen Joshi neither he tries to be like them, He is one of the most Original composer & singer on the Indian Music Horizon. The most striking thig about Kailas's voice is its Rusticness extremly blunt but very Divine. Kailash's voice is not dependent on the music infact its more crystal clear when its in sngular motion without any instruments.
Kailasa is the bench mark album in History of Indian Pop. After Rabbi this is a second album which can be called SUFIPOP, iF ''Teri Diwani'' have the beauty of kailas's voice magnified by the great Video on channels then ''Jaana Jogi De Naal'' stands out for its Lyrical Quality & Music Arrangements suitable enhanced by the Chorus Effects. The Composition in the whole album is ''Nahiarwa'' which have its roots in the words of Kabir & Sai Bulle Shah, This song is not just a Lyrical Masterpiece but it also present a differen Kailash Kher to listeners, One who can sing on Lower Scale with as much aplomb as on Higer Notes.
For me its a great experience to hear this musical presentation as it again proves the Rustic Charm of Folk Music is never going to be out of Fashion.
I will like to recommend this album to all of you who are reading this review, Believe me this album is worth a Million words, But alas my Lexicon is very Limited.
