What are the adjectives that describe this serial? Abysmal? Stupidity Personified?Baselessly Arrogant? Total Disregard for the viewer sentiments? Well, all this and more.
There are not enough words in the English Dictionary to describe the depths of disaster Ekta Kapoor has reached with this. Its a new low in the Indian Television and its really hard to beat! Only Ekta Kapoor can beat this, probably with Ramayan?
Just take this for an example - How about a 25 year old Lord Krishna, caught stealing butter, tied to a pillar, butter still sticking to his mouth and face? Which 25 year old needs training to eat butter? These were originally the exploits of 5 year old Lord Krishna when he was in Gokula, not when he was old enough to rule the kingdom!
Or consider this - the trunk of Lord Ganesha, made of a washing machine pipe I suppose, that sways when the wind blows! How ridiculous!
Or Shakuni, who looks like a cheap street rowdy, his demeanor not even close belonging to a royal family!
Dhritharashtra, seeing whom the viewer might want to pierce his own eyes!
Ambika, Ambalika, Satyavati, who never age and develop one white strand once in every 50 years!
And what with all the black, gray dark costumes that are I am sure bought from a roadside store in Andheri? And no man in the serial has a cloth to cover his chest. Indians are renowned in wearing jewellery and bright ones at that! Gray is not a popular color in the Indian context from yore!
And whats with all the Matrix like In-the-Air gymnastics? Blatantly unimaginative.
And the no. of times the lightning strikes per episode is about a million! And the story itselfis compromised at large with unnecessary melodrama accompanying every detail of the story. And Where are the other 2 heads of Lord Brahma that he is renowned for?
I can go on and on and will surely update this review in the near future. But Ekta Kapoor, will you please stop this murder of one of the greatest epics of mankind? You have already been the prime contributor in degrading the quality of Indian Television and you will be remembered for that anyway. So you dont need to tear apart the sacred epics to be remembered by!
