STORY: The 1st scene shows a person in mask experimenting with 3 rats. He pours some liquid in their cage. The rats die immediately. In the next scene, in a running metro a milk bottle from a ladies bag accidentally falls and the same liquid comes out, which leads to the death of every passenger in the metro. In the next scene, Pregnant Vidya Bagchi(Vidya Balan) arrives in Kolkata from London to find her missing husband Arnab Bagchi.

She arrives at Kalighat Thana to report a missing person FIR. Kharaj and Parambroto are the 2 inspectors available there who question her. She shows a picture of her and her husband to them. Parambroto then takes Vidya to the Monalisa Guest House, where Vidya's husband stayed when he came to Kolkata, but the person in the guest house claims person with such name was never there.

Vidya becomes and angry and decides to stay back in the guest house and solve the mystery herself.

She finds that the terrorist responsible for the metro killings has got a similar face as her husband.So she sets out to find the terrorist hoping that when she finds the terrorist her husband will also be found.

MOVIE REVIEW: The movie "KAHAANi", Directed by Sujoy Ghosh is a class movie and his direction is very nice. The movie shows the different shades of Kolkata and almost every part of it is being captured superbly.

Vidya Balan, fresh from the success of her last release "THE DIRTY PICTURE(2011)" has proved again that she is the best among all. She has got all the qualities of all the Khans and she is actually the mixture of all of them. She acted superbly well and is the only charm of the movie.

The movie throws the light on the Kahanni of a lady named as Vidya Bagchi who came from London to Kolkata to find her missing husband. She is also 6-months pregnant in the movie. She goes to police station to file a missing report about her husband and she also indulge herself in a mission to find her missing husband.

But Hang on! What did you understood that she will come to Kolkata, find her husband and they both happily leave back to London! This is the best part of this movie Kahanni it keeps binds you to with it and shows you the simple kahaani but it has actually another Kahanni in the same movie which unfolds later and you can't even identify the actual kahaani. All this that she is pregnant and come to Kolkata to find her husband is actually a fake completely.

Two years ago before Vidya Bagchi arrived to Kolkata her husband as Abir Chatterjee came to Kolkata but has been found dead in an terrorist-like incident in the Kolkata Metro. In the metro train a person named as Milan Damji as Indraneil Sengupta has dropped an toxic acidic fluid in milk bottle of an lady which dropped accidently and as a result, a toxic gas gets spread in whole train and all the passengers died at the spot in the same train. In that train, Vidya Bagchi's husband was also travelling in the same train has also died in the same train. Although her husband has the information about some explosive substance in the train and has came into the train to find that explosive but accidently that explosive's bottle get broken in the train and toxic substance present in the bottle get spread in gaseous form and all the passengers died at the spot including Vidya's husband.

Vidya files a false report of her missing husband in the police station in order to reach the actual suspect that is the Milan. She keeps on using all the policemen's and keeps on collecting all the clues herself to reach the main suspect.

Kolkata has been captured very well in the movie. It has shown various shades of Kolkata and also of the culture and the people of Kolkata.

Durga Puja is the backdrop of the movie and soon it starts, the movie commences and with the end of Durga Puja, the movie also comes to its climax. Movie covers the women power and shows that not a single women is weak but has shown that women is like Durga Maa and can go to any level to achieve their goals. From this movie, I can say that Naari-Shakti zindabad! Women are all nice and she can give love to you if you love her but if you will hurt her than she also will not stop but will fight back like Durga Maa.

Filmakers should now indulge more in making "women-centric movies". Movies like THE DIRTY PICTURE, No One Killed Jessica, Ishqiya and now the Kahaani are the best one has become commercial success. Vidya Balan also received Best Actress National Award for THE DIRTY PICTURE.

Music of the movie is superb. All the tracks were good but the best tracks are "Ammi Shotti Bolchi" sung by Usha Uthap, "Akla Chalo Re" sung by Shri Amitabh Bachchan and the title track "Kahaani" sung by K.K. and also the female version sung by Shreya Ghoshal. I really miss the title track "Kahaani" of the movie Kahaani in the movie which is not in the movie. I think this song should have been the part of this movie.

Vidya Balan, is now the big ruler of Bollywood. She is the Best. She has also won the National Award for "THE DIRTY PICTURE(2011)". And for 2012, her National Award is reserved for this very nice movie "Kahanni" and also the Best Actress Award Female for 2012 and also for all the award shows too.

Movie like this are game-changer and will remain be the Best!

I fully recommend this Movie and is the Best!
