We purchased a four burner Hob of KAFF make model HBR 784C from Mohali, near Chandigarh. The same was installed on 18 Nov, 2018.
Around one week back there was a blast in the Hob and the glasstop of the Hob got shattered with spreading glass all over. My wife and maid was present in the kitchen at the time when the glass shattered and spread. Luckily they did not get hurt. I had registered my complaint online on the toll free number.
Now the service centre tells me that Rs 4500 will be charged for the glasstop replacement.
I would rather say that the product is faulty and not safe, as the glasstop bursted like a bomb and would have easily hurt my wife and maid fataly. If the company is not sure about the product safety then why the same is selling in the market.
I had requested the company to change the product with a new one IMMEDIATELY and compensate us for our loss. However, no action has been taken by the company even after the lapse of two weeks.
