Way to go yash raj films. Review on Kabul Express

as the title suggests it's focussing on kabul. two indian journalists- sohail khan(john abraham) and jai kapoor(arshad warsi) set out to kabul to make a documentary on the 'taliban' .

they find a friend and confidante in the driver who is an afghan.

a 'talib'- imran khan (shahid salman ) wants to reach his home pakistan.

he wants them to help him and so is their'guide' only for namesake.

an american jpurnalist (linda arsenio) is also accompanying them.

the movie is crisp and has all the ingredients of a short movie. it gives the audience a taste of india,pakistan and afghanistan.

the argument b/w whose best b/w kapil dev and imran khan shows the craze for cricket b/w india and pak.

the rafi song-' mai zindagi ka saath nibhaata chalaagaya' being hummed by the indians and the afghan showed the interest and liking for hindi melodies.

the knowledge of the indian stars like amitabh bachan,srk,dharamendra......... by the afghan showed bollywood's magic in a barren land.

the 'kbaabs' for break-fast,for lunch, for dinner and not to forget snacks showed the food of afghanistan.

the talib's forcing money out of the american journalist to give it to his daughter showed his concern for her but his silence and unspoken words when he met her showed pain and deep love.

when sohail khan (john) is exercising, he aks a boy to join him only to find the boy crippled.

this showed the effect of war on a poor country.

many more beautiful moments are captured in the movie.

arshad warsi is just growing as an actor with every movie. his witty dialogues bring humour.

john is more serious and mature. he too was good.

but the best actors and characters were the afghan and the pakistani.

esp imran khan aka shahid salman.
