Starring: Amitabh Bachhan, Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Preeti Zinta, Abhishek Bachan, Kiron Kher & Arjun Rampal
Plot: Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna centers on the budding romance between Dev and Maya, who both happen to be married to two different people. Settled into a life of domestic routine, and convinced that they are content with their respective relationships, these individuals still yearn for something deeper and more meaningful, which is what they find in each other. From a relationship starting off in pleasant meetings, the two begin to develop and acknowledge the feelings they have beneath the surface. When their feelings come to the fore, what results is a collision of lives and emotions, affecting everyone involved and changing them forever.
The reasons due to which Maya and Dev seek somehting more meaningful however are without doubt shallow, and this time, Karan has not done his homework in detail. The only commonality being that when two people are going through the same circumstances in life, it brings them closer. but the rest of it is utter bull.
There are some terribly rib tickling scenes where Rani Mukherjee attempts to induce her respecitve spouce, Rishi and Dev, Preity Zinta!...you can hang on to those scenes and roll away in utter flutter.
It happens to be India's most expensive Hindi film, reportedly made for an astronomical Rs 70 crore.
