If I have ever been bought down,by a ridiculous movie,Kabhi Alvida na Kehna will be an Epitome of that instance!What on earth prompted Karan Johar to think about this concept is really out of my emotional bounds!! If he thinks that it was a modern thought ,I really pity him!
Films and movies are not only entertainment to our world but it is more often a life which we aspire to live!They show a direction!A path!!!In the end it has a meaning.It displays what we should do!what is the reality in the outside world!Well!!!To my despair,I could not find anything in that movie....KANK!!!
If you talk of practicality,its again is too confusing!I was finding it hard to understand whom was the director trying to glorify!Even in the movies like D-Company, the Police commissioner was shown to be glorified.All the characters had a clear goal even if they were villains!!Real people!!!
Here....God knows what was happening....Rani on one hand was being loved by Abhishek like a true husband and without any logic...he is left behind.I mean ...just for the sake of being practical....She might as well leave Shahrukh!delusional!!!
Now comes Shahrukh!Without any reason he always has the time to flirt with Rani and fight with Preity.
Amitabh!!!!God knows why Karan messed up with such a wonderful actor!!!Its ok when he is being shown as a playboy!!!thats fine!!!there's not even a single Prostitute which he doesnt come up with!thats fine!he brings laughter for sure!But here comes the point when he says in the party that I love my dead wife and I miss her a lot!!!come on man!!!!!! This is not a way to miss her! Neither is his love shown by measuring every "bum" he see's!!!!
Not one single actor is being glorified or shown to have a goal or a direction!!!
At the end I was just thinking what was the movie all about!!Ok!If it was to show that sometimes you are married to someone who may not suit you,then atleast make it look alright!!!
Karan actually did not want to put any of his characters down!!!He wanted to prove that everyone in the story are fine and they have their own understanding.
Trust me!!! I am going to marry someone whom I love!
Love is not about "letting" things happens!its always about "making" things happen!!!
