The movie is again a romantic musical drama by Karan Johar with main star cast as Amitabh Bachchan, SRK, Abhishek, Preity & Rani. This movie is all about troubled marriages looks like a sensitive film on relationships, highly emotional drama.

According to the story SRK & Rani had a loving relationship some time before but got married to different people due to family pressure. They compromised with their lifes and convinced themselves that they are happy in their respective relationships, but the seeds of their deep love for each other always tease them and let them remember for their soulmate. The other two have their significant character in the movie - Abhishek & Preity were other victims and they also face the similar conditions in their life. And as always if the two partners are not satisfied with each other and when their feelings come to the fore results into a collision of lives and emotions, affecting everyone involved and changing them forever.

This movie is again a most awaited movie of this year, for all karan johar or chopra movie fans, this time Shibani Bathija also contributed in writing the story of Kabhi Alvida na Kahna. The music of the movie is already on air and liked by the music lovers. The music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy again succeeded in catching the attention of the movie and music fans. Another big name linked with the movie is 'Javed Akhtar' who dont need any introduction or explaination.

Amitabh Bachchan and Kiron Kher as usual must be at their best role like always. Ritesh Deshmukh also has a surprise role in the movie. The movie is almost completely picturised outside india, so there are lot of artists in the movie who belong to that country. So also the movie has been created in English - the name of the English version must be "Never Say Goodbye".

One interesting issue related to this movie that Kajol was initially offered the lead role in this movie, but she was busy with the movie Fanaa at the same time and due to the conflicts in timing of both the movies she had to do compromise of doing only one movie at one time. She was originally going to play the role of Rani, and Rani was to play the role played by Preity Zinta. But its all in the luck of Preity that she got golden chance to be the part of such a great creation. Still Kajol had one guest appearance type of role in the movie, in one of the song in the movie.

Find many ppl comparing this movie with 'Kal ho na Ho', but there must be some different story in the movie, as far as we know about yashraj films and johar's production they are very much similar in film making and marketing but they never take risk of making movies on the same story, lets hope we will get some new n innovative story in KANK.
