Kaante was mind-blowing, to say in one word.I watched the 2nd day 1st show.I was so eagerly awaiting the release of this movie that evrytime it's release got postponed, I used to feel very frustrated. When finally it did release, our exams were going on.But who cares about exams.I couldnt watch the movie on Friday, and that made me all the more anxious. On Satyrday, as soon as the paper got over,we (me and my friends) rushed over to the theatre. We did'nt get decent tickets because evrything was sold out.So we took front stall seats. But nothing seemed to matter then.

I sat for the entire 2 hour 45 minutes, totally enraptured by what was happening before me.Some ppl are saying that there is hardly any plot in the movie. But I think it is a good job well done. The 6 characters are portaryed extremely well.I especially liked Mahesh manjrekar as Bali. The dialouges are so realistic. The songs are amazing.Especially Socha Nahin Tha , the last song rendered by Shaan. The other verson, Rama Re, is also very upbeat. Our entire hostel is agog with Rama Re now.U can hear Rama Re being rendered out to you from every nook and corner of the building by all the budding bathroom singers.I think it has more to do with the continuing exams than Kaante.Mahi Ve can be considered a bit vulgar by some ppl.But I think it goes pretty well with the entire mood of the movie.

One can't fail to notice the subtle use of humor all over the movie, and not the Johny Lever type of humor, mind you.It is very classily crude humor. The candid use of gaalis and words otherwise considered taboo in Hindi cinema are used aplenty which mantains the realistic nature of the movie. The ending is also appropriate. It just goes to say something which I have always believed in...Crime never pays.
