Okay, I never caught this film when it was fashionable to do so. I just caught this movie on Star Gold yesterday, half way though, so I don't know whether it is right for me to write a review on this movie, but hey.. won't you forgive a reviewer for a silly mistake?

Anyway, on to the movie..

It's basically about six losers, who are betrayed, caught, defeated, frustrated, ambitious and crazy.

So, what do six men with a past and nothing as a future and nothing to lose in LA do? Simple, they plan revenge, on the society, on the law, on everything that resembles the rule to them, it's a simple case of us against them.

The story is Interesting, with six betrayed men planning revenge, the direction is Top Class, the acting is Amitabh Bachchan, say what, even Kumar Gaurav, Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty start EMOTING in this man's presence!

But even then, people say that is the damp squib of a movie, why? Let's see the reasons.

Well, first off, as offered by a reviewer, it has a little bit of stupid angles, the mask taking and all, like who'd think of robbing a bank, in which the Law of the Land invests, unmasked? I'd take two, just to make sure.

Then, who'd STAND at the entrance of the bank, let alone leave from the entrance, after they commit what could be the biggest heist of the century? I'd bribe a landmover and DIG a pole from the bank to Honolulu.

Okay, this done, let's say Suyog, Dennyjos, Mouthshutdotcom, hafay, Raj76 and preview_review have POTs of money, uncounted, unclaimed and they find that one of them have ratted the police, what'd they do?

Well, PR would smile and shrug, and think that none dead, none lost, share the money and WALK AWAY. Not that he'd forget it, nah baby, he doesnt keep any debts, he's hound the rat out, and give him a so small death!

But this would be AFTER he settles his fatass in some condo, over looking the beach, with a nice swimming pool with live mermaids in it, and well, having a couple of Swiss Bank accounts, and maybe even a small kingdom in Upper Mongolia. (Can one have a 'couple of Swiss Bank accounts?)

So, if Sanjay Gupta had made a movie with the LOOK and FEEL of a Hollywood movie, he should also have done the RESEARCH that these Hollywood filmakers do, I mean, he's got money to burn, baby.. he doesn't have to worry about well, one litre of milk everyday, lol.

Given all the negative points of the movie, why did I watch it till the very end, yeah, the very very end.. many things:

The feel of the movie, the street smart talk, the internal psychology of the whole movie, and the PERFORMANCES.

Amitabh Bachchan, is TOP CLASS, and it rubs on to everyone in the movie, even Kumar Gaurav. Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty, act comfortably, Mahesh Manjrekar, I think he over acted, but well, everyone can't be right.

Well, what else? The direction is good, see this movie, just for the damn performances, why didnt this movie work?

Because we aren't worth this movie, we can never understand the mental violence going on between all the six characters, yes.. if maybe it had a rape scene, a sex scene, and a couple of more blasts around, it'd have worked, and it'd have worked well.

Adieu
