Kaal- A spooky thriller. Review on Kaal

When you enter an environment as a stranger and don’t follow the rules, nature has its way of getting back…. “Kaal” is an exciting and spooky thriller about six people who find themselves stranded in the middle of a jungle (called Orbit Park). Shooted at different locations of Corbett National Park at uttaranchal… and at Thailand.

The film is a directorial debut of Soham who has earlier assisted Ram Gopal Varma and Karan Johar. Jointly produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, the film stars John Abraham ....as Krish; Esha Deol ....as Riya; Vivek Oberoi ....as Dev; Lara Dutta .... as Ishika and Ajay Devgan ....as Kali Pratap Singh

John Abraham potrays a wildlife researcher from National Geographic, Krish, who comes to Orbit National Park along with his girlfriend Riya (Esha Deol). He is more keen to know about the cause for mysterious deaths that occurred in the forest in last few years.

A group of friends (which includes Dev, a flamboyant character and his superstitious girlfriend Ishika) also arrive at the same time to the forest for a weekend adventure trip. The two groups happen to meet each other and decide to stick together in the wilderness.

But it is not too long before the mysteries of the jungle begin to unscramble in the most appalling way. Strange things start happening in the forest and members of the group starts disappearing one after another. The tourists can feel the presence of some savage assailant close by yet couldn't comprehend. The only escape from sure death for them is to find a way out of the jungle.

Ajay Devgan plays the role of Kali Pratap Singh, a rustic person who is well acquainted with the jungle and the wildlife in it. He decides to help the marooned group to escape out of the forest.

Shah Rukh Khan-Malaika appears in an item song at the beginning of the movie... The techno wizards, Salim-Suleiman, have proved once again that they can come up with a strong rock/pop soundtrack.

Overall, the movie is worth watching in a movie hall.
