''Esha Deol is the killer in Kaal, she trains all the tigers and sets up killing of everyone and eventually everyone dies''---Grapewine

Well off late you might be buzzed on sms, mails etc about this well just forget and go watch Kaal, the above is just a marketing gimmick and nothing else, because Kaal might eventually surprise you. So feeeeew straight from a 9 am morning show of the movie and I am logged in to MS to shatter this review, Well one thing is very sure after today's show, that the First Day First Show now belongs to the youth coz the theatre was completely filled with the Age Group of 18-25, any ways back to the movie, well simply don't expect anything monumental from Kaal, comparisons to ''The Ghost and the Darkness'' are a waste, Kaal has its chills and thrills combined with tremendous sound effects and the overall product wont hurt you.

The Story~~

Well Kaal is about mishappenings in the Jungle i.e. Orbit National Park (The film name of Jim Corbett National Park), maneater tiger is on the loose and killing, John and Esha are a team from the National Geographic research team and Vivek Oberoi, Lara and Gang are in there for picnic, The King of the jungle won't tolerate this and eventually it will kill them all, In comes the saviour i.e. Ajay Devgan, so what happens next, will they survive the wrath of the tiger or it has something more to it then the tiger, for all this go watch Kaal

Kaal is produced by SRK and Karan Johar, and as I suspected it starts from the Kaal Dhamaal song, which really in a chiller attempted movie like this is hindrance, Kaal stands out for its technicalities, Story & Direction by Soham is good for a debutant, as you can see many of scenes handled well and there is chill factor to it, Soham a product from both KJ and RGV school of thoughts has started well.

Cinematography by Santosh Thunidyl is good and he does create it Dark as the jungle requires to be shown, Background Score in such movies is very important as the shock value has to given and music has to be haunting, Salim Sulaiman missed out in the music but here they excel and I really see a good bg score after Bhoot. Few Action Sequences are also handled well by Allan Amin.

Well that doesnt mean that the film is exceptional, it has an what some may find a boring ending for that matter, editing byis well throughout the movie but looses it grip in the end reels when they give too many dialogues to Ajay Devgan, also why are the women skimpely dressed and despite all odds the make up never goes, They dont have network coverage in the jungle, now isn't it ironical, SRK promotes Airtel and they say Whereever you are, Huh those ads., I thought its a alright movie nothing great as the hype which was created for it.

Performances Well in Kaal not much heroics were required, the girls were required to scream and shout and dress scarce so Lara and Eshareciprocate exactly but yeah overall it wont hurt you as a viewer, Vivek Oberoi and John Abraham have done well and Ajay Devgan is the same but the hysteria he created while he entered the screen is remarkable, does well to the overall impact of the film, you might find some similarities to the role he played in Lajja. Other supporting cast is good, I have to say the role of screen name Bagga (I dont know originals) was good.

The film has no music but it starts with Kaal Dhamaal and ends with Tauba Tauba which have already found patronage in youth. Well Kaal is watchable but in recent spate of summer releases it pales compared to say Waqt and other performance oriented movies, but yeah hype is immense and so the Boxoffice good run seems likely, hope it does dhamaal for the film industry.

Cticize's Quote::''Watch it for chills, thrills and Tiger. I feel the movie provided me a reason to think for the Tiger, I think its high time we start doing something for them other wise it will be only movies made for them, they there are only 1500 of them left''

~~Summer is going fine, eat, drink and do some dhamaal rating and commenting~~
