We had booked AC Sleeper bus from Bangalore to Munnar since it was the only travels that was offering AC buses. But the horror was to unfold on the day travel. The condition of the buses was very bad. The people announcing the arrival of the buses were not at all helpful. They refused to speak in any other language other than Tamil. Our bus was supposed to arrive at 10:30 at night but it arrived at 12 at night.
It was a sleeper bus. The bed sheets were very dirty and it seemed that they had not been washed for quite a long time. The driver was very rude and drove very rashly. Almost throughout the travel the AC remained switched off. To top all this up was a shock that was yet to come. On reaching Udumalpet which is about 80 Km form Munnar we were woken up from sleep and were asked to change the bus. We had to travel the rest of the distance in a small cramped, non AC bus broken bus.
If this is the service they provide then according to me they shouldn't be charging for an AC bus.
