I used to love going to Kentucky Fried Chicken; back in the day it was great the prices were reasonable, service with a smile and there was always more than you could eat. But ever since Kentucky Fried Chicken turned into KFC and the Colonel went to that big fryolator in the sky KFC is just a logo with no substance, a shell of a company that was built on quality control and American values.
Imagine going to Mcdonalds and they had no cheeseburgers or french fries.More than once I've gone to KFC and they've had no extra crispy or no original or you'd have to wait 20 minutes to get it. Most of the places I visited the floors, counters and tables were dirty and the help was young and just as unkempt. Staff on the most part didn't really know the pricing or were in some form of training.
Now here's the meat: they no longer have 3 piece dinners or combos - you have to order the 2 piece and pay $1.77 for an extra piece of chicken. Drinks not included
2 piece combo - very small leg and thigh = $5.57 extra piece of chicken = $7.34
2 piece combo - leg and breast = $6.60 add extra piece = $8.37 then you order the drinks
The chicken tastes like card board or soggy.
Now you can go to Boston Market ( formerly Boston Chicken) get a half of a Rotisserie Chicken ( a real one) with 2 sides for $7.50 with real potatoes and vegetables.
Which one would you choose?
Both places share the same language problem and no one could tell you prices off the top of their heads. However, Boston Market was much cleaner and the staff much more professional. I've given KFC many opportunities to redeem themselves but I won't be going back...
Don't get me wrong I loved the Colonel but he's gone now and with him went his company.KFC is now at the bottom of my list side by side with White Castle hamburgers.
I'll be in touch
