I watched this movie yesterday on Zee TV. The much hyped of Vikram Bhatt starring Bobby Deol, Millind Soman, Lara Dutta and Gul Panag is worth watching. The main theme of the movie is the reward one gets for having deep faith in someone. The hero Avinash Malhotra is a very rich Business man who falls in love with Sanjana at first sight. Why this happens to people only? They fall in love and pay the penalty in the form of and trauma. Here also same thing happens. He is framed for the of his wife whom he loved more than anything in the world. He is completely unaware that his close friend Rohit is the main culprit in the plot. This is revealed to him in the first half when he shoots him after taking him out of prison. By chance he saved by his childhood friend Soniya who loved her deeply.
He taks shelter in her home and plans to take avenge on Rohit. The movie is shifted to Malaysia where Rohit has become the owner of Palace Hotel. The most touching moment comes in his life when he sees his wife (not ed) in the arms of Rohit.
Avinash becomes a completely shattered man and heart full of vengeance on both he taks revenge. The most dramatic moment in the movie is that when Sanjana gets to know that Avinash is alive and He explains her the meaning of Mangalsutra to her. He says that when someone wears mangalsutra, it is to save one's husband from all dangers. But she had worn mangalsutra to kill her. In the end she begs him to forgive and forget but he refuses and leaves her in prison.All ends well when Avinash realises that his real love is Soniya and goes back to her.
The plot also resembles the play of Hamlet by William Shakespeare where Hamlet's mother plotted with his uncle and killed his father and then his uncle becomes the king of Denmark. I know the pains of heart break and I think it is the greatest pain in life. One becomes completely shattered and helplessly watches while the whole world moves on. More and more like this should be made so that people become aware of the crime they re committing(its greater than someone) and wont commit these crimes in their life at least not to those people who re seriously in love. Many like Zeher and and Humraaz are quite successful in motivating people to know what is real love and avoid getting tempted and resorting to Extramarital affairs.
The songs of this movie is very good and are worth listening. My favourite song is O sanam o sanam by Udit Narayan and Sadhana Sargam and picturised on Soniya and Avinash. Soniya is the silent lover who bears all the pains and is ready to help her friend in all possible ways. Other songs like Nazrein teri nazrein and Meri Chahaton ka Samandar to dekho are very nice. This song MEri chahaton ka..... is repeated many times in the movie and the lyrics are very catchy.
Acting part is ok. Bobby Deol has performed very well in this movie. He has played this type of role in Humraaz too. He needs to take a break from this similar role and do something new and he has the ability to excel in all the roles. A positive point about Bobby Deol is that most of his do well though not very well. Last year Barsaat and Dosti- Friends forever did well and was a money spinner in India as well as abroad. Lara Dutta needs to learn acting skills from Priyanka Chopra. She should try to improve in her acting skills. Millind Soman and Gul Panag have performed their roles well.
