Jurassic Park III was one of the big summer blockbusters out of 2001 next to ''Tomb Raider''. This has been the third in the Trilogy of Jurassic Park, no other sequels have been made since the first hit from Michael Crichton and Steven Spielberg so it seems that the ride might be over for JP fans. This film again uses the same elements of cgi animation and several of the same models of Dinosaurs from the other installments. However new dinosaurs are introduced and the writers changed the characters around in this one to add a bit of tension and suspense that works throughtout the whole movie.
The cool thing about the Jurassic Park movies, is that you don't have to watch every movie, to find out what's going on.
Since the stories are basically the same in every movie, you can watch and be entertained by each movie, without being concerned about the plot.
The plot in this case, is that once again more genetic research in Dinosaurs has led to a creation of dinosaurs on Lor Sorna in Costa Rica.
Then a group of scientists, interested in the Dinosaurs wants to come down to Lor Sorna to ''study'' the dinosaurs. Dr. Grant (Sam Niel), who in the first movie acts as a moral, and ethical scientist in the first movie, is a hypocrital, contradicting scientist in this one.
At first, Dr. Grant, rejects any offers to study Dinosaurs saying that his previous experience in Jurassic Park has annoyed from doing any other research thus Dr. Grant seems to have a high standard of morals, or does he? Well actually no, as we find out.
When Mr. Brimley (William H. Macy) and his wife Amanda Kirby (Tea Leoni) offer to
pay millions of dollars just to have Mr. Grant's presence and insight into the Dinosaurs of Lor Sorna, Grant has no problem signing over himself to the project (Take the money and run). This was a big change in Grant character despite his claims of not being a sell out it seems the Dr. is willing to sell out his knowledge for this trip.
He definitely is more interested in the financial and egotistical benefits of the project,
than the actual scientist benefits of the project.
Throughout the course of the film Grant though becomes aware just like in the first
film that visiting the Dinosaurs was wrong along with the Kirby's. Speaking of which
, they have the dumb intuition to bring their young son Erik (Trevor Morgan) along with helpers on the trip Mr. Udesky and Mr. Cooper (John Diehl)
Jurassic Park 3 has probably the best special effects I've seen in a dinosaur movie. Partially inspired by movies like ''King Kong'' and ''Godzilla'' the special effects team of Industrial Light and Magic and Stan Winston, once again, bring this monstrous creatures to life in all their glory.
JP3 also offers a ton of suspense and thrills. T here a bunch of new Dinosaurs in the movie. The Spinosaurs, who can attack in both land and sea are terrifying.
Also Director Joe Johnston, managed to add new life into the series
by making the Dinosaurs smarter than ever. The dinosaurs now ''call'' to one another, when they see a prey they want to kill.
The dinosaurs can now also use their brain to corner and attack, their prey in many new ways. So you can see that Jurassic Park III is a fantastic achievement by ILM and Universal.
The script and acting is also pretty good however then again you dont watch a film like Jurassic Park III for the acting it's a special effects bonanza like ''The Matrix'' and only needs subpar acting to carry it along.
However still there are some great lines in the movie:
Amanda Kirby : ''This is how you make dinosaurs?''
Dr. Grant : ''This is how you play God''.
This references a great scene in which the gang stumble upon a breeding ground for the dinosaurs unaware that there are already Dinosaurs in the lab observing their movements!!!
Overall, Joe Johnston does about a good job as you can do with the Jurassic Park series and didn't
surprised he was one of the art directors for the Star Wars movie so you know this guy
has a very good eye with presenting good action with great special effects.

The DVD is absolutely magnificent complementing a great film so you definitely should check out Jurassic Park III.
Oftopic remark: Id like to make some of great friends on MS aware of three lowlifes on the site. One has three multiple accounts and has begun using those accounts to downgrade my reviews. When I research this I found its one of the abusers from my former site which acknowledge. I have all the info on my profile and I have submitted this to MS, also their is a white racist on here who has been stalking from the former site, youll notice her and him because she has been using three fake names and he has been using (slandering is more like my original profile of the site).
In fact if you check his profile youll see a telephone number which this stalker thought it was mine. He is also under investigation, as he has been sending racist emails to myself in the past and to my good friend Lisa Smith whom you know her Artsed. Be especially aware of these , they have both combine to deliver NH and Sh across all my reviews and have used my comment section for indecent useless comments.

Oh yes there has been a barage of Jurassic Park games that were made after
the movie including a great one for Gameboy Advance entitled Jurassic Park
Island Attacks. The games are great complement to the movie as well.
