COME ! JOIN PROSTITUTION ?? . Review on Julie

Review : Caution: This review is more focussed on whatz wrong with the movie !! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------- Well... to start with .....was this name kept because there was an old movie named Julie that was supposedly a soft porn for those good old days?!

Since other reviews have given the whole story and details, so I wont repeat it, but make an outline and focus on what ruined the movie !

======================================================= The people involved in the movie have tried too many things together... (1) Good Social Cause (2) Sell the movie in the name of SEX! (3) Stir a controversy (4) Make money .... and lastly ....(5) Make a good movie ?!

======================================================= REALITY ?: The movie focuses on the issue that prostitution is an open secret and a necessary evil !

DIRTY MEN ? : It hints to almost saying every man has ultimately gone to a prostitute and man needs woman only to have sex and for nothing else !

ONLY STARRED HOTELS?: Movie shows a partially visible list of starred hotels trying to imply that for high class starred hotels prostitution is a must !

Starting of the story is good and natural.... A love failure due to a cheat's greed for money !

Later part... (possible....) Falling in love with another guy without thinking....

Later... (realistic....) Refusing to sleep with a rich guy just to earn his contract ! After Julie refuses to sleep with a rich builder just to earn his contract, she dumps her would be groom as she finds out he supports and expects her to sleep with his boss as he thinks only money matters...

NOW THE DUMBEST PART THAT MAKES the otherwise okay story...a dumb and MEANINGLESS story...

She listens to the advice of a lady whom she already knows is a pimp. AND ONE HOUR OF ADVICE BY THE PIMP AND Julie decides that IT IS BETTER TO SLEEP WITH EVERY GUY INTERESTED IN HER AND TAKE SOME COMMISION FROM THE PIMP THAN TO SLEEP WITH THE BOSS AND EARN OVER NIGHT WHAT SHE WOULD BE EARNING FROM THE PIMP IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS!!

Well can anything be more dumb than it ? She TAKES UP prostitution and she is NOT FORCED to be a prostitute !

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My view is that atleast if the story was such that she sleeps with the boss due to her groom's pressure and then still he forces her repeat it with others and ultimately dumps her and then she is forced into prostitution, at least it would have been better story, but it is just my opinion and necessarily of others?!.

Then there is this rich guy for some reason is good gentleman and never drinks or never looks at any girl and falls in love with some girl and is not bothered to enquire anything about her...

then.... media people thinking of cashing in on a prostitute issue (realistic)

then.... the interview.... (partially realistic)

the ultimate ending ..... (REVOLUTIONARY SPEECH - PROVOCATIVE AND QUESTIONABLE ALSO!) ........... focuses on the evils related to sex and prostitution ......

PROVOCATIVELY implies as if to take up PROSTITUTION in every home by making your sister or wife a prostitute !!!?? because PROSTITUTION is necessary ( and can make a lot of money as well ?!)

ENDING- Hero marries the heroine! Not bothered that she IS a prostitute ! Multimillionare's view is supported by everyone and society is ready to ACCEPT PROSTITUTES ?! ( GREAT SOCIAL EXPECTATIONS !)

Bottom line: well.... if the director had made a good and realistic story... then who would have watched it ?? so do watch the movie with your peers! You can take the good of the movie and think about it ...... and laugh at the dumbness otherwise!
