As per my own experience I can tell that this is not a good hotel at all. Read my experice.
Last week I had a visit to kodaikanal and that time I stayed in J's Heritage Resort. I got the required information about this hotel from HotelPushpak.Com website. As per the above site, tthe hotel is very near to Kodaikanal bus station and the Kodai Lake. Also they had given good comment about the facilities also.
So I had done a cottage booking through this site before leaving to Kodaikanal.I reached there on saturday morning around 11'o clock and I couldn't find anyone to receive us. The person who suppose to receive us was out of station!So I made a call to the hotel and asked them for sending some one to take us to the hotel.
The manager told person will come within 3 minutes. I waited for some time but I couldn't find anyone. Again I called I got the reply that ' person is on the way'. It took almost 30 minutes to see the hotel person even the hotel is just 300 m away from bus station.
The person took us to the hotel. Before check in to the room I enquired to the manager, that I booked for a cottage , 'is this cottage or what'. Then he told this is right room you can stay here. After 1 hour the manager came told that this is not the room, your cottage is 2 km away fom the hotel. Before that I need to tell how the hotel room was.
The room looks good but most of the light were not working and ther water pipes also were not functioning properly.There is enough security in the room - having very poor locking system.They itself dropped us in the cottage - it was not just 2 km but it was around 4 km away from the bus station - this information was not there in the site!The cottage looks good from outside but inside the same story.
Most of the light were not working, the condition of water pipe was poor. The temperature was very low and the funny thing that there was no hot water !!!!!! We couldn't lock some of the windows and even door also there is locking facility.Again poor security.
There were providing dinner and breakfast but the charge was very high.They itself arranged sight seeing by their own cab but the charge was compared to others and the driver didn't show most of the attarctive places like Guna Cave, Suicide Point, Water Falls etc!Somehow I manged 1 day stay there came back. One more thing they didn't drop us to the bus station.
This was off season and they 1300 + tax / day for one cottage but the facility is too bad.The cottage is too far from the city and after 8'o it will be very difficult to get a taxi from there to city.So my suggestion is don't believe all the information provides in the site.
