Jolly LLB 2 is a contemporary movie which highlights various problems in our society and also subtly touches the problems existing in our judiciary system.
The plot revolves around an upcoming lawyer, Jagdiswar Mishra(Jolly) who struggles to make it on his own and break the barriers of being just a sidekick to his mentor(Md. Rizvi). He commits a fraud taking advantage of a helpless woman who desperately needs to free her husband who has been arrested as a terrorist and it is deemed to be a case of mistaken identity.
But he is unfortunately killed in a fake encounter case. With a sad turn of events it is upto Jolly to ensure that justice is served. The movie unfolds as we see some funny yet gruelling courtroom drama.
The Cast includes Akshay Kumar as Jolly, Huma Qureshi as Pushpa(Jolly's wife), Annu Kapur as Pramod Mathur( Jolly's opposing lawyer), Saurabh Shukla as the judge, Sayani Gupta as Hina(the woman who Jolly duped).
Akshay Kumar showcased his tremendous acting skills like he has been doing throughout his illustrious career; the gorgeous Huma Qureshi gave a good performance as well. Sayani Gupta's perfomance is surely going to catch your hearts. Special mention goes to Saurabh Shukla and Annu Kapur. Their scintillating performances gave rise to one of the greatest courtroom drama served with a garnishing of comic reliefs.
The sound tracks of this movie were pretty good. Special mentions would go to Go Pagaal and Bawara Mann.
The cinematography was excellent. It correctly depicted the contemporary Indian society, the shabby courtrooms. It overall gave a desi feel.
My advice is do go and watch this film. It is sure to touch a chord in your hearts.
