I have been using the Johnson and Johnson Acuvue disposable contact lenses for years now. I totally recommend them. When I first started wearing lenses, I bought the permanent ones, the pair that lasted a year. I had no idea about contact lenses and their types. These permanent felt a little a heavy on the eyes and for starters, it'd turn out to be very expensive.
Lenses need to be handled with care or they tear. When they tear, burns a hole in your pocket. After tearing a few of permanent contact lenses, I ended up buying the J&Js. 6 pairs that lasted six months, each pair one month. Initially the 6 pairs costed Rs.1000, the prices however have increased and now they cost Rs.2000. But I've got so used to these that I cannot go back to the permanent ones.
These are light, don't even realize sometimes that I'm wearing lenses. If one is torn, I can always replace them with another until I am down to the last pair. They do not feel itchy, no eye problems so far, easy to handle. They are thinner than the permanent ones, if you are new to lenses then keep your nails short to avoid contact lens tear.
