They have made me watch this movie when I heard critics liked it on allbollywood.com I thought it might be okay.The promos looked boring and guess what the movies are just like the promos very boring the story drags like anything a very boring love story not much action.
Jodha Akbar is not for all audiences. Its primarily for people who can afford to give their time for a nice cimatic experience but can bear to be bored. Its not meant to entertain. It has a specific purpose and the director is somewhat capable to achieve it. But for the audiences.for majority.it could be a big BORE. complete let down from a Period Film. I can not prevent from comparing this movie with the great classics such as Anar Kali, Mughal-e-Azam and Taj Mahal(with Pradeep kumar and Bina Rai). The music is very ordinary, acting is OK. There is not much emphasis on how Jodhaa influenced the life of Akbar.The movie is nothing but a big love story featuring akbar and jodha, this movie could have done better if it was around 2hrs long, 3.75hrs are hard to pass by. There is a lot of money wasted on unnecessary sets and accessories it seems so. On the whole movie is only one time watch. PS: Get something to eat before you go in the theater, you will need something to chew on.its a long movie. I took my toothbrush with me!
Its just a big love story. The director is trying to sell the movie by saying that this is what happened in our history, which is not 100% correct. Get some info from the net and then go a watch the movie and you will see the level of exaggeration
Roshan is not impressive and he hammed big time so did ashwariya rai.
Overal not recormended.
