I'm an ex student, stayed for a good 6 years. The biggest problem teachers have is favouritosm. For the sake of keeping their dignity intact, I won't mention any names but a certain teacher(H) had a big bias and would always steryotype me as a'bad child' and give me punishments while other students that did the same mistakes were overlooked. She'd pick fights with kids. She's a fully grown woman who doesn't understand how our brains work, how we don't understand punishment unless we've done something wrong. If you're a new student, it's hell to get into the school's culture, I was often left out and bullied. The teachers knew, they definitely knew and decided to keep me there, make me the weird problem child. The old principal used to give us lectures on humility while lacking a single humble bone in her body. She too picked fights with CHILDREN. there's a difference in enforcing discipline and making sure children fear you. I had a diary and a few flipbooks with innocent drawings I had brought to school to show my friends, she confiscated them and searched our bags without us even being there. Then she never gave me MY DIARY back. It's a book LOL it's not going to hurt anyone. And my flipbooks were innocent drawings OH MY GOD THATS SOOOOOOOO DISRUPTIVE TO HOW I LEARN ISN'T IT? a small notepad? sit down and change the way you teach it's backwards and only traumatised me. I hated it and I'm glad I left when high school started. I still have trouble considering myself worthwhile because of just how much I was ignored. it was like a scene from a badly written movie where there's one small child left alone in the middle of the class, every other child sits together. Don't go here.
