For the all the hype and hoopla created around the movie, I should say, "Not bad" but could definitely have been better.

Love stories usually make me cry but this one somehow didn't make me cry. I didn't get involved except for a few scenes.

I loved the title track. I loved the frame when Jo, Surya and the kid dance and whistle before leaving for the day. Santhanam is making his appearance felt these days. A really funny guy I must say. Vadivelu is a sore point to a such a slick and urban movie. (something tells me a lot more scenes of vadivelu must got cut at the editor's table. Thank God for small mercies).

And I wonder what this over dressed Sukanya is doing here. Maybe Jo's boss is needed is script. But why is she dolled up all the time? Not even the 2 leading ladies are so dressy as sukanya.

The little girl is cute. Talks a bit too much but I guess that's the way kids are these days!

Jo looks really good. Lovely clothes and nice new hair cut. Surya ofcourse looks cool in both the roles. Bhoomika is a real surprise. Especially the contrast in both the halves. She still looks so fresh and charming. Thank God Asin refused to do this movie! She, with her haughty attitude would def. not suit the young, vulnerable character of Aishwarya.

I was disappointed to realize that so many photographs we saw pre-release were only promotional material (remember the photo of surya painting his wife's toe nails?)

And then the music. Just lovely. This might not be one of Rehman's masterpieces but he's done a good job. Esp. the BGM. He's used the strains of Munbey Vaa so beautifully to paint the flashback in various shades of mischeif, romance and even pain. I can listen to Munbey vaa 10 times continuously and still find something new everytime. Shreya Ghoshal ofcourse takes the cake. I remember Surya mentioning that they attempted something new in this song - an expression or a body language. I've been looking for it and haven't placed it exactly. I guess its the little expression when she gives him the kumkum at the temple. Any thoughts people?

The song "maaricham" is not there in the movie. There's actually no place for the song in the movie.

Generally a feel good movie. A few flaws and loose ends though. Contrary to most reviews, I feel Aishwarya's (Bhoomika) character was stronger that Kundavi's (Jo), in the sense that the girl knows what she wants and where exactly her desires end. More practical than Kundavai. Kundavai is a dreamer. She's a romantic and like they show in the beginning, has seen and heard a lot of love stories. A woman might be pained to know of her husband's past and trying to get his ex-girlfriend together for just one day is way too dreamy and she doesn't even have the patience to live through that day.

I think one of the best parts of the movie is the letter Aishwarya leaves for Kundavi. Very well thought of and very well written. I would like to have the script of that letter if any one can get it.

I feel the movie belongs to the these 2 ladies and Bhoomika is the Hero (anybody agreeing here?)

Overall an okay movie - time pass.

I watched in Satyam and was disappointed. We in fact purchased tickets for the Elite section for a whopping 95 bucks per ticket. The seats were bad. Not even cushioned and push back. I ended up with a back pai!! Sound effect was good. The management has not worked on satyam as much as they have on shree and studio 5.
