Jet Airways........You are TAXING on my brain..... Review on Jet Airways

Right now i'm seated in the Domestic Airport in Aamchi Mumbai in a cyber cafe charging me 35 bucks per hour..... damn....... ouch!!!...Anyways first things first.....i'll start by dismantling the silly twit of the Jet Airways girl at the Ahmedabad Airport.....

On the 11th, I went to the Airport to book tickets for my journey to Hyderabad......The plan was that i'd fly Abad-Mumbai via Air Deccan at 8 in the morning which would get me to Mumbai at 9.15 approx. Next, i'd fly Air Deccan again from Mumbai-Hbad at 7 in the night........wow....thats a long halt huh....??.......but then if you compare it by the cost index, its much cheaper....coz the IA flight from Abad to Hbad is 6500 bucks. While the Abad-Mumbai is 1800 and Mumbai-Hbad is 2000. So 2000 + 1800 = 3800. And if you look at the difference, its a whopping 2700 bucks....And thats only a one way journey.....i gotta get back to Abad too.....right??

Anyways.....i booked the 2 Air Deccans and then for commin back, I got a Jet airways flight from H'bad to B'bay for a cheap 2200 bucks. OR SO I THOUGHT. While booking it, when I asked for the ticket that dumb babe told me ''sir hamara printer nahin chal raha.......but your ticket is booked''. So I said....''are u sure its booked, coz then only i'll book a connecting B'bay-Abad. She said it was....so I told her to come over to the Air Deccan counter where I was booking a B'bay- Abad and give me my H'bad-B'bay ticket. She did. After 15 min. By which time I had also booked my B'bay-Abad flight. But hey....take a look at the ticket now.......its A'bad-B'bay instead of H'bad to B'bay. And hey....my connecting flight is Already booked. So I stomped over to the Jet Airways counter, but the chick was talking on the phone.

So I waited an impatient 5 min before she got off the phone ....As soon as she did……I thrust my ticket in front of her face and asked her “whats this ticket”. Silly babe replies “sir, its for the 23rd…..”…..I was like “damn girl, I can read that…..but look at the To and from”. Then she’s like “A’bad to B’bay”. So I shouted “Ma’am…..i asked for a H’bad-B’bay”. So the chick in Blue replies indigantly “no u did not sir, you asked for A’bad-B’bay”. Anyways.....Boy….was I mad…..i replied…”hey…gujarat is a dry state….and since I’m not drunk I definitely know I did not ask for Abad-bbay”. And the dumb thing replies “Sir….it could be anybodys mistake….i’ll deduct 500 bucks as cancellation charges and issue you a new ticket”. And that made me hopping mad…..I shouted “if you deduct even 1 buck out of the 2220 bucks I paid you, I’ll sue you for Fraud, Undue Influence, Coercion, and Defamation. (At last…the Chartered Accountancy course I’m pursuing proves useful).

So finally the girl looked up at me and said “don’t shout at me sir….or I’ll be forced to resort to physical measures”. So at that point….i guess something in my mind snapped….and I said “my pleasure bh, and I’ll even pay you for it”. Furious and stamping like an elephant, she got her supervisor…….and gave him a full account of what had happened……

The supervisor, a nice guy……walked over and asked me why had not I checked the ticket before leaving the window. So I replied that the printer was broken and I was only issued a physical ticket after 15 min by which time I had already booked my connecting flight…..and that too, I had booked the connecting only after being assured by the girl that the Jet flight indeed was 'correctly' booked. So he realized, that there was a mistake on their part too. And since I had booked my connecting flight on the assurance of the girl at the Jet Airways window…..she personally was responsible.

So finally, as a special case he granted me a refund of my full 2220 bucks……and as I was leaving the window, I gave the girl one glance and stuck my tongue out at her and she promptly returned the gesture. And turning my back on the window I heard a voice….it was the supervisor…..he said….”Sir even I have done C.A, but I quit coz it was too tough, but lemme tell you……you cannot sue this girl for Undue influence U/s 27…..nope……that section is not applicable here. I admire your courage though….and you have a nice memory for law too…..”

Now I know what the patronage of the customers holding Jet Privilege (JP) cards enjoy. In my opinion they only get the benifit of not having to interact with the silly mindless good-looking twits they have 'installed' at their ticketing windows. In which case, i'd obtain a JP card first and then fly Jet again.......that is if I do decide to fly Jet again.

As for the girl, I dont know what she's doing right now.....but i'm sure my shouts haunted her dreams the entire day she was sleeping behind the counter. If I do meet her anywhere in Ahmedabad, ever.......i've got a good mind to confront her

by continuing to threaten suing her unless she's got a pretty friend of hers around who'll go out with me for a cup of coffee.

Anyways, thats it guys........this is just my personal experience with Jet. I know their service and quality is impeccable so I wont dwell on that. But they should really start recruiting personnel carefully now or many people will be flying to destinations they didnt book.........Jetttt.........SSSettt.....Go!!!

(P.S) I'll be watin at the airport for another 3 hours till my flight is announced..........
