I have been a loyal Jet Airways flier for many years - but now realize that they're trying to cheat me out of my hard-earned frequent flier miles! I have been trying unsuccessfully for the past 4 months to get some award tickets as a lot of my miles expire in June 2006. But the disgraceful responses of Jet Airways leads me to believe that they have no intention of honouring the miles - they are just giving me a hard time and ignoring my emails and phone calls. They keep saying they will call back - and never do! Responses to emails take more than 3 weeks!! All this seems to be just a ploy to ensure that I can never get an award ticket - they don't respond till the date of my planned travel is over, and then tell me that tickets are "not available". Obviously, by then I have either cancelled my trip or bought tickets. This way they will never have to honor the frequent flier miles.
I even tried emailing a senior management person - Mr. B. Jayarajan, the head of Marketing - after I somehow got his email address from the Customer Service staff. He does not bother to respond to emails either!
And worst of all, its the lack of customer service that is most aggravating. It's extemely frustrating as a customer - to know that they respond very quickly when you're spending your money buying a ticket, but treat you so badly when you are trying to exercise your rights!
I now wish I had never flown Jet Airways - and never will again.
