While boarding a jet Airways flight from Mangalore to delhi, our check-in baggage was overweight by 2 kilos for 2 people. Being a frequent traveller, we had the reasonable expectation for 1 extra kilo per ticket to be absolutely acceptable, as it is in most airlines at most airports. However, the staff( Anusha) insisted we go back, cut the security tag, remove one kilo and put it in the handbag, and get our luggage re screened, even though it will ultimately go in the same flight. Meanwhile, the passenger before us was gladly allowed 10 kha extra. Either the staff is not trained well, or is specially trained to be obnoxious. Hard to tell which.
