I am a long time JetPriviledge member. All members of my family are JetPriviledge members. We were to fly Jet Airways from Mumbai to Leh on 6th May.


The flights booked were:


9W 301 departing Bom at 0700 & arriving in Del at 0855 on 6 may full fare flight


9W 1607 departing Del at 0925 & arriving in Leh at 1040 on 6 may jet connect


On 12th April, Jet sent a mail  that  flight no 9W 1607 rescheduled to leave at 0445 on 6th May. And this was without considering that it was a connecting flight for us


We were left high and dry with this unilateral change of flight schedule by Jet given that our scheduled flight  from Delhi to Leh would be taking off before our flight from Bombay to Delhi arrives. We had booked all our hotels and travel schedules based on the previous timings of the flights booked by us


We called up Jet Airways and asked them for a suitable answer.


Having realized what they did, they suggested that we use a midnight Flight from Mumbai. As compensation for the change from full farJet Airways flight to low fare Jet Lite flight and the inconvenience of midnight travel, they promised that our Delhi to Leh sector ticket fares would be returned and credited to our accounts. Jet airways person (Farheen) on the line offered to compensate us the amount. She said the amount would be credited to our credit card accounts which we used for purchase of the tickets.


After numerous mail & calls to Jet for the promised compensation, we finally received a mail from Ms. Nisha Suvarna mentioning that they will not be able to give us the compensation even though their employee had agreed to it on the call on 14th Apr. So, in essence, Jet airways refused to honour the commitment made by them earlier


This is how corporates in India treat their consumers. They know the backlog in our courts would deter anyone from filing a suit due to the time and patience needed for lengthy court processes. Jet airways has been behaving especially haughtily ever since it's 2 major competitors (Kingfisher & Air India) have had problems
