Business Class means Business!. Review on Jet Airways

Hi folks, did u know that I am getting the ''longest time to write'' award from MS.com ? YEs, for 3 years I have been reading reviews and am writing for the first time at MS.

I am a frequent domestic traveller and had the forune of travelling Club Premiere on the MUM-SIN flight. May I say that I am impressed !!

Right from tele check-in to immigration, Jet Airways made life a breeze! As part of the package, I had access to the Jet lounge that had some lip-smacking snacks, beverages and decent alcohol (read a fridge full of beer and Absolut Vodka aplenty!)..

Boarding was around 45 minutes before departure. The first thing you notice as soon as you enter is the space in Clube Premiere. Nearly 60 inches (That is 5 feet) is allocated to each seat !! I dug into the comfortable chair and used the electronic controls to fit the seat according to my comfort level. Just as I was finishing fidgeting with the chair controls, the air hostess (One Singaporean and the other an Indian - Very welcome mix) came up with the dinner and drinks menu. I chose a 20 year old matured red wine with Hyderabadi style chicken served with rice and hot Indian breads. Also complimentary was tadka dal and raita (slurp!)...

The meal was served in exquisite bone china and was immaculately suave. Once done, we were given our own personal Fujitsu PEA machines (https://aviationnow.com/avnow/news/channel_awst_story.jsp?id=news/09274air.xml) that had 5 hindi movies, 5 english movies, 2 regional movies. The package also came bundled with some tv serials, music videos and games. I spent the next 2 hours just fiddling and switching between the movies. For those who do not want the PEAs or have better things to do with their laps and hands, there were overhead TV screens that showed a popular Bollywood flick. By plugging in the headphones into the audio sockets on the right arm rest, we can access the audio of the movie playing overhead or a host of other audio choices.

Ok, meals over, movie over, now what makes a flight more special ? - How about a Bvlgari shaving kit with cologne and the works! - man I was impressed. Needless to say, albeit small single aisle aircraft (Boeing 737-800), they were fast and smooth. The fact that they were spanking new also helped.

We landed 30 minutes ahead of time. During the last 30 minutes of the flight, the overhead screens showed the flight route, altitude, flight speed, temparature and other releavant information. Quite interesting..

The landing was smooth and baggage collection was quick. All in all, I dont know what any carrier can do better..honestly..way to go JET !! You make India proud and make foreigners look up to Indian carriers as a classy travel option and not just a cheap low cost mode of travel.

I will definitely travel on Jet always!!
