Jet privilege miles.... a hoax . Review on Jet Airways

I am a member of the frequent flyer scheme since last 3-4 years. I had opted for registering for the said scheme after seeing jet’s rosy advertisements and in-flight announcements. I have inconvenienced myself by travelling in their flights just for availing the JP Miles, which I thought could be used in future as and when required.

Couple of months back, I had requested for redemption of my JP Points against a one-way ticket from Mumbai to Mangalore. Jet executives gave a PNR and informed me that the same is waitlisted. I was shocked and surprised with the same as their website(even today) sells tickets for the said date. I was asked to contact their staff in few days. However, till today jet has miserably failed and neglected to confirm my seat even though since last two months they have been selling the tickets online. This shows that they are not interested in redemption of my JP Miles instead prolong the same without any reason. However, they have earned their revenues by inducing me to travel on their flights under the pretext of JP Mile programme.

Since last two months I have been contacting their executives through my representative just to get empty promises that the seat will be confirmed on the very next day every time. However, when we contact on the next day, the so-called ‘next day’ gets postponed to another next day.

Now I have asked my agent to book a rail ticket for me so that I can travel to my destination.

Today I have sent a letter to their chairman with my demands for their deficiencies and criminal acts. I have given them 24 hours time to reply to my demands failing which I will institute a criminal complaint besides other available legal remedies.
