This is my email to them that I sent on 21st January 2014. Please read to understand my situation:


Greetings!


I'm still under shock with the way JetAirways handle their customers. It is truly disappointing for such a well known airline to treat customer like this!


I was meant to take a Jet Connect flight 9W-2400 from Mangalore to Hyderabad on 15th Jan 2014 at 09.05am, with stopover in Bangalore. Yet, without any prior notice(neither SMS nor emails or calls) they have cancelled the connecting flight from Bangalore to Hyderabad. The staff couldn't even arrange any other flights except one at 5pm.


I got a medical urgency that required me to reach Hyderabad before 2pm. Unfortunately, the JetAirways staff at the check in counter can barely suggest any other way to help me out. Thus, I was forced to spend a fortune for an immediate ticket from different airline(i.e Spicejet) from Bangalore to Hyderabad.


I am so devastated. I had good experiences with jetAirways in the pasts, thus this is far from what I expected. I'm seriously traumatised with this incidence. I was left with half of the money I carried, which really a big trouble for me as I'm travelling alone without companion. I wish JetAirways would be more concern of their passengers welfare.


Talking to your customer care(Bangalore) is far much worse. The customer executive which known as Pallavi(she refused to tell me her last name) could only blame this problem to Yatra, from which I booked the ticket. Instead of providing me with solutions to my problem, she accused me by saying that it's my mistake to book from Yatra and not from JetAirways directly! Is that the way you train your staff?


Your customer care was blaming Yatra for failure to notice me about changes in flight. But weirdly, for returning ticket from Hyderabad to Mangalore, YOU were able to message me twice to inform me of the delayed in departure time(screenshot of this provided as proof). In fact, my previous bookings with Yatra for other airlines(i.e spicejet) never fail to give me prior notice if there's any changes in flight time. FYI, the message is never from yatra, but directly from the airline. My experience with Malaysia Airlines, they even called me personally to ensure I got the notice about the changes made. So what made it so impossible for you then?


I'm so devastated with these kind of commitments that you have towards your customers.


I hope you would be more sensible and concern on your customers to avoid such inconvenience like this. Due to such a small mistake(failure to give prior notice), you have put me in a very difficult position.


And please, stop pointing fingers and blame others. Because, if you really smart and want to maintain your standard in your customers eyes, you should have provide immediate solution and take responsibility.


I demand that JetAirways will fully refund the immediate ticket that I had to purchase due to your incompetence, Spicejet ticket from Bangalore to Hyderabad which cost me Rs5418.00. Attach with this email are proofs to support my claim.


Failure to do so will make me take this forward to the consumer court.

And they said they will get back to me before 31st January 2014. But so far I hear nothing from them. Even when I emailed them again, they didn't reply me anymore. And calling them have to wait over 20mins. Seriously! Crazy airlines ever.
