JET AIRWAYS – THE JOY OF FLYING
>>Jet Airways is India's largest airline. It operates flights to Colombo, Kathmandu, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and London (Heathrow).
>>They have over 300 flights connecting 43 destinations across the country. Some of the many places that they operate flights to are Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow. Kolkata, Port Blair etc.
>>GROUND STAFF
To begin, with the ground staff is very polite. They are very helpful and very well mannered, something that I found missing in Indian Airlines staff.
>>FLEET
The fleet comprises of Boeing 737-900, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-400, Airbus 340-300E, ATR 72-500
The leg room, though not ample is comfortable enough. The seats are also comfortable. The upholstery and the colors used are quite soothing.
>>CABIN CREW
The cabin crew is also very friendly. They are very helpful and polite just like the ground staff. Also the fact that the cabin crew is very young adds to their pleasantness. On the other hand I found the Indian Airlines cabin crew very haughty. Also one thing that I found in Jet Airways flight is that, the pilots are interactive. They welcome you on board the flight. And even though the cabin crew keeps you updated, the pilots also update you with information about the flight from time to time. On the contrary Indian Airlines pilots don’t even introduce themselves.
>>FOOD
The food served is also very good. A typical breakfast (non-veg) consists of bread jam n butter, eggs, fresh fruits, and tea/coffee. Lunch/dinner consists of puri, rice n vegetables, lassi or lime juice and dessert.
>>SHUTTLE SERVICE
Jet airways provides shuttle service for all passengers from the airport to the aircraft and again from the aircraft to the airport. Only in some places like the Chandigarh airport they do not provide shuttle service, since the aircraft lands just a few feet away from the airport lounge.
All in all I would say JET AIRWAYS is the best airline in our country at present. Today the Indian skies are bursting with so many airlines. But yet JET AIRWAYS is here to stay at the top position for a long time.
