This has got to be one of the worst movies of 2002. Has bollywood forgotten how to make love stories? After seeing this one may think so.
Tushaar and Kareena play childhood buddies who are separated as amir chokri Kareena Kapoor is whisked away to London to study and lose touch. Looks like she never came back for holidays.
Despite this she remains Indian and has not forgotten her heritage so much so that she dances at an Indian function in a jamaadarni outfit under the Eifel Tower??? The Brits might like this but the French would see red!!! Anyways she has not forgotten her childhood friend and is madly in love with him (How cute) despite not seeing him for some fifteen years or having any contact.
Meanwhile loverboy is being chased around by some annoyingly screechy model wannabe (Dont ask me who she is) but is in love with her but well succumbs to Miss Shrill's charms. Well Well Well!!!
But the foreigh returned chokri has not moved on and tries everything to get him back which is really what the film is about. Sounds familiar??? You bet the tables have turned from the earlier Tushar-Kareena starrer Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai which surprisingly turned to be a hit. Guess Vashu Bhagnani thought lets twist the story around and try this permutation on us poor and happless audiences. Arent we so lucky????
Ok, sarcasm you would have guessed from the story or lack of it that the film is a turkey. More-so, the situations are idiotic to the point where they insult the viewer's intellegence and the music is attrocious. The film is far more cornier then the awful mkkh and well even a five year old would not be able to tolerate this travesty.
Worse are the performances. Kareena sleepwalks. As for Tushaar, his father must have paid some filmmaker big bucks to actually put this chamaar look alike in front of the camera. As for his acting skills or lack of thereoff- No comments!!! As for the wannabe bimbette debutant, never ever open your mouth on camera again. The only thing one will ever remember from this film is that screechy voice that will haunt you in your nightmares.
