With Talk shows, Walk shows, Cook shows, Health shows and many more gearing up in almost all channels, it makes it very difficult for the viewers to make a choice, which to watch and which not to...
But whenever there is a touch of heart, effervescence of laughter, a slight numbness in the eyes, surprises, friends, family, fanfare it all points to one show - Jeena Isika ka Naam Hai. With Farooque Sheikh as its host this show telecasted at 9:00PM IST on Zee TV, stood up amongst all the odds and attained momentum. This show has a quality and identity of its known. Be its theme concept, which is very unique and new to the audiences. Knowing about the people whom we admire, love, like, hate, praise or are at awed is a unique feeling by itself and this human psychology has been triggered by this program.
The Host - Farooque Sheikh
He has been one of my favorites with his acting but he proved to be a veteran Host with this show. His perfection with Urdu - Hindi and chulbuli teasing of the guests actually raises the interest of the viewers.

The Guests
The program could actually manage to bring some of the elite personalities from their respective fields. Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Priety Zinta, Kiran Bedi, PC Sircar, Saurav Ganguly, Laloo Prasad Yadav, Jagjit Singh, Manoj Bajpayee, Tanuja, Sharmila Tagore, Sunil Dutt... to name a few who honoured the show. But sometimes I feel that they are making it very cliched, with almost everyone from the recent Bollywood popping in.
They should call more people -
from other walks of life like they had invited Kiran Bedi, PC Sircar, Laloo Yadav, Saurav Ganguly (Kapil Dev shd make his appearance) etc..
Veteran stars from Bollywood should come and not the ones who have hardly worked on one or two films (that too flopped ones)...
My favorite Guests in Jeena has been -
IPS Kiran Bedi, Magician PC Sircar, Jagjit Singh, Sharmila Tagore, Sunil Dutt, Tanuja and Laloo Prasad Yadav with all his children...
Some people whose inclusion in this program of difference that would really add to its glory can people from Academic field who may not be as popular or famous as SRK or ASh but their lives has been that of setting examples. Professors from renowned colleges - say Amartya Sen (high hopes) , management gurus, politicians, freedom fighters (Lakshmi Sahgal - Azad Hind Fauj), sports persons other than from cricket (maybe Amritraj brothers, Ramesh Krishnan, Prakash Padukone, Bula Choudhury), Ex-Military men/women, Rakesh Sharma (First Indian in space) could be a few names whose life experiences can be of great interest...
And from the field of Bollywood and entertainment people who had created waves all over the globe should be invited before the new buds - Dilip Kumar, Shashi Kapur, Shammi Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Om Puri...
Music - Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Manna Dey, Gulzar Saab, Pt. Bismillah Khan, Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Pt. Ravi Shankar, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Amala Shankar to name a few should make their appearances on the show to add to its value and quality...
But whoever the show calls upon as long as Farooque Sheikh is there to host it I don't mind sitting one hour in front of the idiot box to watch it...
