Safe place to be in. Review on Jeddah

I usually have the requirement to travel to Jeddah for some business and have been there several times. Jeddah may sound boring to some but believe me you have to go there to understand the city.

Let me start with its airport. One cannot say that it is a state of the art airport but it is decently sized to take care of all its passengers.

However what is surprising is that a vast area inside the airport still remains unused, as the passengers are taken too the aircraft by a bus inside the airport and it takes nearly 10 minutes to reach the aircraft. Maybe it will be put to use in the future.

Jeddah has a dry climate and even though the heat may be high you do not tend to sweat. Also there are very little or no avenues for entertainment. However it has huge malls which is really hard to believe unless you visit them.

You can avail all sorts of branded and non branded stuff such as garments, electronics, etc. As for food you can find all the branded multinational companies having outlets there, such as Dominoes, Pizza Hur, Mc Donalds etc. The roads are vey clean and hygenic and you hardly find any one blowing their horn unless it is really required to give an alert. The law is very very strict there and the punishments are very harsh for crimes committed. There is no scope of any bribes whatsoever. Even that there is a public open place where people are beheaded for their crimes. The locals can see this and it is done in public to set an example and caution people against crime. You can find good hotels to stay in and all in all it is a place which one should visit.
