We have gone for shopping in Jayalakshmi silks kochi on 15th November 2010. We reached Jayalakshmi shop at 10 AM. We have traveled more than 150 km to reach shop , only for shopping , expecting it to be a good shopping experience.
We went to the Ladies Kurat section. We were looking for XL size . We asked the lady in that section to help us to find some ladies Kurta . Her response was not an encouraging one. Its like== find it yourself , we are not interested to serve you==. We tried to find some Kurta, but didn't find anything of good quality. No other staff came forward to help us. We felt bad to choose Jayalakshmi as our shopping point.
Within the first 15 minutes itself, we understood that we made a mistake of choosing to come to Jayalakshmi silks kochi for the shopping.
With the bitter experience from the ladies kurta section, not able to find even a single good kurta, we went to saree section.
We asked for silk saree of range 1500 . here also the staff was showing what she is interested rather than understanding customers need. She was not happy to take some effort to show us some saree. Then I went for a small walk around the saree section. I overheard a conversation between your two staff in saree section. the summary is as follow.
" Don't open all the sarees till you are sure that they are going to purchase that saree. If you open it, you should fold it back. Don't throw everything open to customer".
Hearing this , I got the clear picture of how it is going to be our shopping experience. I informed my wife about this. So we dropped our idea to shop with you. We took only 3 sarees of range less than 500 Rs, just for the sake of us coming there.
We came out of jayalaxmi showroom and went to another textile showroom in same road. We were well treated there and had a very good shopping experience. To give a summary of our experience, we initially thought to buy just 15 kurta, but we ended up buying 22 kurta and the shopping bill was above 1 lakh.
