India is a cricket playing nation where fast bowlers are not born but they are to be made unlike spinners. The dusty pitches of india totally demoralise the fast bowlers. In such conditions Srinath has come up as a genuine fast bowler after Kapil Dev. He has got menacing speed and stunning inswingers ,surprising batsmen with occasional outswingers.After Kapil he is the fast bowler who can produce match winning spells on his day.

I feel that He should be choosy to play One day International Tournaments and play only important ones and should concentrate only on Test Matches as winning a test match brings more pride than winning a oneday match and is remembered for long.

Doing this he can protect himself getting wear away .

I think he should not be made captain. There are other players in the team bigger in stature than him like Sachin,Rahul & Sourav. By the time these players go out of contention he will also become older. I feel that the captain of the side should be a Batsman if not The Wicketkeeper(Best Choice as per me).

Finally to summarise Srinath is a great fighter in Indian Team who has produced some lively spells as well as some fine batting display but he should not be(will not be) made captain for his sake only.
