Return of the enigma. Review on Javagal Srinath

Sigh!! There goes again ,Indian team looses the first test to Kiwis now,after getting thrashed by pathetic Windies on home soil.Thank god yesterday the first day of 2nd test was washed out,I dont want to see our team hop onto the field,wish this test is washed off becasue of rain,atleast a good reason to blame on rain gods . PLEASE READ MY LAST REVIEW, I had predicted this long before ,but some ever optimistic members called names- TRAITOR,MORON etc . NOt that I am a pessimist,but when it comes to our Indian team I know the mettle of this hapless team quite well and you cant change the truth, just to be an optimist.And here we are dreaming of the World Cup , and some even think that we are among the top 3 in the world (I dont know by what practical standards ),gosh, give me a break ,Indian fans symbolise ''hieghts of optimism''.I would be most happy if someone barrs this team from participating in World cup,because I know they will just dampen our soaring spirits,and hurt the pride of this nation,as they have proven it time and time again.

Now cut back to the topic ,Srinath from idli-sambar land! A supple frail guy (our team badly need a good dietician ) in crutches ,who is afraid of running fast, sliding, even afraid that his arm may give away if he throws a ball from the ropes ,is the hope of our glorious team and spearhead of our pace attack,what can we expect from a team like this ? But I think its incorrect to blame Srinath.Infact he is begged by the team management to save our country and he is dragged much against his wishes to play and save its grace.So the culprits are the ones behind the viel -coach,selectors and finally the most visible face,''poor captain'' whose head is always on the chopping block .I feel really sorry for Ganguly, who is a winner in all the sense,and who has really dared to take some brave decisions ,but when you are in the company of a group of timid gutless bunch,they can suck you down along with them and the same ''loosers'' tag is attached to you,I pity our captain. Same applies to Sachin,their contribution is lost because of the ineffeciency of the fellow players.

So the best our captain can do is,anyway we will loose with Srinath,Agarkar etc spearheading our attack,so why not loose by experimenting with some new blokes,who knows some miracle can bring into light some new face and new hope.You cant introduce a bunch of new players in a big tournament like World Cup and expect results,series like these are the best time to experiment around.But Ganguly already has recieved enough flak for experimenting with new guys and so maybe its better to loose traditionally by playing safe than getting blamed at the end for experimenting too much.But depending on our sloppy veterans ,who are a spentforce will in no way help in long run .At present our bowling dept looks more or less like a physically handicapped team.

Commenting on the one day squad,Yuvraj is over rated,he can never succed with his pyrotechnics on fast pitches like in NZ .And before singing off, let me remind you again, dont be on a high if they succed against NZ ((which I seriously doubt )) and start rating our team as the best among top 3 and dream of World cup etc, afterall its just Kiwis and we need to prove consistently against strong teams before building our confidence.The present hype is nothing but over-confidence!
