I have been watching Jassi since it started in september and never miss a single episode.I am fed up of people moaning that the serial is not original and taken from the South American play, but in the opening credits of the show it does state that original story by Ferdinando Palamino clearly indicating that this is mearly an hindi version and a damn good one.
It makes a change to watch the usual family feuding serials especially where the storylines have been fast forwarded by 18 or 20 years and amazingly the previous
characters dont seem to have aged at all,no sign of white or grey hairs or wrinkles.
What an insult to viewers intelligence.
Jassi is a story about a middleclass girl who is a plain Jane but through her determination and hardwork she begins to build a rapport with her colleagues and slowly wins them over.
The entire cast do justice to their roles ,Maddy is so camp and hilarious and very mean to Jassi and her gang.I also like how in a subtle manner the show takes jibes at models.
Jassi and her family are portrayed as simple people always grateful for the smallest of mercies. The bond between father and daughter comes out strongly ,he is constantly offering sound advice with morals.
I must admit that the dreamy sequences are becoming quite monotonous but never the less it is still a good serial and extremly watchable.
I still recommend Jassi it is the best on sony so keep on watching.
